  VAN Mahotsav

VAN Mahotsav, a week-long celebration, is being celebrated in several regions of India. It is usually celebrated between 1st July to 7 july .

More About Van Mahotsav

VAN Mahotsav is an annual tree-planting movement in India, which started  in 1950. The name Van Mahotsava means “the festival of trees”. It has gained significant national importance and, each year millions of saplings are planted across India in observation of Van Mahotsav week. It was started by K. M Munshi.

Obligatory Registration of Marriages – Law Commission

Law Commission presented its 270th report titled “Obligatory Registration of Marriages” to Law Ministry. In this report, Law Commission has prescribed necessary enrollment of all relational unions to manage social indecencies, for example, kid relational unions, polygamy, marriage cheats, renunciations of ladies by their better half and sexual orientation brutality.

i. Law Commission has prescribed correcting the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969, to incorporate relational unions.

ii. The Commission proposed that as far as possible to enlist relational unions ought to be confined to 30 days after which a punishment of Rs. 5/ – every day could be forced.

The tenth India-Jordan Morocco Trade and Economic Joint Committee (TEJC) Meeting was held in New Delhi on fourth and fifth July, 2017.

Important Points

1. On this event, the two nations underscored the requirement for expansion of two-sided exchange and enlarging their engagements for more prominent collaboration in venture division.
