1.India Joins Ashgabat Agreement
India has joined the Ashgabat agreement which envisages setting up of an international transport and transit corridor linking central Asia with the Persian Gulf .It is to to significantly improve the trade and investment.

2. Cochin Shipyard Limited Signs MoU with Russian Firm USC
Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and Joint Stock Company United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), Russia have signed an MoU to collaborate and engage in Design, Development and Execution of contemporary, State-of-Art vessels for Inland and Coastal Waterways.
3.Surajkund Crafts Mela Begins In Haryana
- The 32nd Surajkund International Crafts Mela has begun in Haryana’s Surajkund city.
- Uttar Pradesh is the theme state for the first time and it will be focusing on religious tourism, rural tourism and spiritual tourism apart from showcasing its art, culture and heritage in the mela.

4.First Defence Industrial Corridor Between Chennai, Bengaluru
- The first defence industrial production corridors link Chennai and Bengaluru.
- The Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the government will develop two defence industrial production corridors in Budget 2018.
- The defence budget was increased by 7.81 per cent to Rs 2.95 lakh crore against last year’s Rs 2.74 lakh crore.

The United Arab Emirates has made a record by opening the world’s longest zip line, measuring 2.83 km in length. Guinness World Records officials certified the zip line in Ras al-Khaimah.

1.IOB Receives Rs173 cr Capital Infusion from Government
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has received Rs173.06 crore capital infusion from the government in the current fiscal.
2.World Bank Commits $100 Million For Tamil Nadu
- The government and World Bank signed a $100 million (about Rs 6,400 crore) loan agreement.It is to promote rural economy in selected blocks of Tamil Nadu across 26 districts, benefiting over 4 lakh people.
- The loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), has a 5-year grace period, and a maturity of 19 years.
3.India Slips To 42nd Place On EIU Democracy Index
India has slipped to 42nd place on the Economist Intelligence Unit’s annual Global Democracy Index.Norway has again topped the list, followed by Iceland and Sweden
