2006 – Nathula Pass, a trading post between India and China opens for business.
The trading post had been closed since the Sino-Indian war of 1962. Part of the Silk Road, the pass connects Tibet with the Indian state of Sikkim.
1975 Comoros becomes independent
The Comoros Islands gained independence after about 137 years of French rule. Their official name is the Union of the Comoros.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Israel
Narendra Modi became the first Prime Minister from India to visit Israel in the last 70 years.
India and Israel have consented to seven arrangements, including three on space collaboration
A Plan of Cooperation was marked between the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Israel Space Agency (ISA) with respect to collaboration in atomic clocks.
Both ISRO and ISA marked a MoU on collaboration in GEO-LEO Optical Link. ISRO and ISA marked another MoU on collaboration in electric drive for little satellites.
A MoU was marked between the Department of Science and Technology, India, and the National Technological Innovation Authority, Israel, for setting up an India-Israel Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund (I4F).
India’s Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation marked a MoU with Israel’s Ministry of National Infrastructure, Energy, and Water Resources on a national battle for water preservation in India.
A MoU on state water utility change was marked between the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam and the Ministry of National Infrastructure, Energy, and Water Resources of Israel.
The two sides likewise marked the India-Israel Development Cooperation on a three-year work program in agribusiness from 2018 to 2020.
